SOUTH DENNIS - Warren A. Bennett died on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at the Eagle Pond Nursing Home in South Dennis.
Born, raised, and educated in Mount Vernon, N.Y., Mr. Bennett graduated from Columbia Business School. He served in the Navy during World War II. Mr. Bennett was vice president of Improved Risk Mutual in White Plains N.Y., and owned and operated The Gallery at Jamaica in Jamaica, Vt.
An accomplished artist, Mr. Bennett was active in several art groups, including the Cape Cod Art Association. He was an avid reader, who loved to travel, and walk on the beach. He was an active member of the Federated Church of Hyannis. In 1953, he married Eleanor Saber, who predeceased him.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Caricato Bennett of South Yarmouth; a son, Warren Bennett of Va.; two daughters, Suzanne Bennett and Virginia Bennett, both of Fishkill, N.Y.; a stepson, Scott Caricato of Connecticut; a stepdaughter, Nicole Andrews of Connecticut; and a brother, John Bennett of Ohio.
A memorial service will be held at the Federated Church of Hyannis, Main Street, Hyannis, on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
