Arkport Cemetery says she was born in Dansville. She may have been Quaker. She mentions the Friends in a letter. Her letters show her as a very caring and loving Mother to Charles Blake and her Grand daughter Callie. She had very strong ties to all her family. She writes how she felt "time was short" anticipating death in 1886 however she lived to 1903. The times were difficult. Gideon her husband had died in 1882. Winters were long and severe and hard for her. She mentions how close Fay's family was to Charles and He and his brother Fay were very close to each other.
