Mrs. Georgia Ann English, 81, of Kennard, died Friday, May 25, in a Houston hospital following a short illness.
Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Saturday, May 26, from the Kennard Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Frank Oswald officiating.Interment was in the Ivie Cemetery and pallbearers were Glenn and Carroll Thames, Claude and R. C. English, George Lane and Sam Westbrook.
Mrs. English, born on June 19, 1880 in Trinity County was a member of the Kennard Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Jim, of Kennard; two sons, Loyd of Kennard and Earl of LaPorte; two daughters, Mrs. Velva Taylor of Kennard and Mrs. Mildred Dominy of Houston; two brothers, Carl Thames of Crockett and Dave Thames of Latexo; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
