Anna Marie died Thursday, August 27, 1891 from the effects of burns, she was on a visit to the plantation of her maternal grand aunt, Mrs Amanda Johnson, near Fountain Head, Sumner County. Tennessee, her clothing having fire from an open grate, on Monday August 24, 1891. She was so burned that she died from the nervous shock, on August 27, 1891. Her remains were placed in a receiving vault at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Nashville, Tennessee until april 1893 when they were shipped, via St. Paul, Minnesota to Helena, Montana and buried in the Forestvale Cemetery, near Helena on April 24, 1893
