MACON - William W. Kingery, age 85, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2004 at Carlyle Place. Graveside services with Full Military Honors will be held at 11A.M. on Tuesday, June 1, in Andersonville National Cemetery. -The family will receive visitors at McCullough Funeral Home Monday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. -In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Warner Robins Little Theatre, P.O. Box 807, Warner Robins, GA 31099, or to Theatre Macon, P.O. Box 5123, Macon, GA 31208. -Born in Proctorville Ohio, Mr. Kingery was the son of the late General Ward and Myrtie Ellen Kingery. He attended Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan on a basketball scholarship prior to joining the Army Air Corp during World War II. A retired Colonel, he was a 30-year Veteran of the Air Force, having served during World War II, Korea and The Vietnam War. He was a command pilot with over 10,000 hours of flight including 2,000 missions in the Berlin Air Lift. A C-47 used in that operation resides at the Air Force Museum adjacent to Robins Air Force Base. In addition he was a Dadaelion, a member of the Retired Officers Association, Founder and active member of the Warner Robins Little Theater, an avid golfer, and a former member of Christ United Methodist Church in Warner Robins. -Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lee Kingery, Macon; four children: Karen Lee Senden (John), Flowery Branch, GA.; William W. Kingery, Jr. (Carol), Castle Rock, Colo.; Bonnie Scott (Brian), Byron; and John Kingery (Beth), Marietta; seven grandchildren: Christian and Daniel Senden; William Kingery III; Andrew Kingery; Dr. Lauren Tempel; and Hilary and Kate Larson; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Bailey, and Carson Senden.
