PILOT ROCK - Ruth F. Har­rison, 95, of Pilot Rock, died Friday, April 17, 1998, at, Amber Valley Care Center in Pendleton. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednes­day at Olney. Cemetery.
Ruth F. Fletcher was born Dec. 28, 1902, at Pendle­ton, to Pearl F. and Carrie Warner Fletcher.
On June 14, 1922, she married James Robert Harrison at Pilot Rock. They farmed most of their lives and farmed in the Pilot Rock area for 35 years. Mrs. Harrison enjoyed gar­dening and grange work.
She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church in Pilot Rock, was a Sunday School teacher and member of White Eagle Grange. Survivors include sons, W.J. "Butch" Harrison of Milton­Freewater, and Robert K.Har­rison of Pilot Rock; brothers, Stephen F. Fletcher of Sheri­dan, and Howard Fletcher of Redondo Beach, Calif. five grandchildren, 12 great-grand­children and six great-great grandchildren. She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, James Robert Harrison, and a sister, Mildred Hoeft. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or American Heart Association, directly or through Burns Mortuary of Pendleton, P.O. Box 489, Pendleton, OR 97801.
