Mrs. Judkins was formerly Miss Isabella Martling, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. and Lucy Peek Martling, well known pioneers of this city and county. She was born in South Bend Oct. 7, 1846, and lived here her entire life.
She was married to William H. Judkins, well known business man and merchant, Oct. 8, 1865. He passed away March 1, 1903. Surviving are three daughters and one son; Mrs. Frederick G. (Bertha) Eberhart, Mrs. David (Edith J.) Fonda, Miss Alice L. Judkins and Warren G. Judkins, all of Mishawaka. Also the following grandchildren, Mrs. George W. (Donna Belle) Blair, Mrs. Samuel D. (Carol) Hillier, and five great-grandchildren. She leaves one sister and one brother, Mrs. Ellen M. Sibley of Elkhart, Ind., and Harvey A. Martling of Mishawaka.
