He was the son of W.J. and Maria Smith Robb of Davidson County. during the civil War, he served the Confederate army as a steward. He later married Maggie S. Dwyer, Oct. 19,1880, and later settled in mountainous area along Maury-Giles County line, serving the medical needs of the neighborhood and delivered many babies including his own grandchildren.
Their children were: Mamie, William Joseph, John Hugh, Harry Merton, Maggie, Charles S. and Roberta V.
He was my great-great grandfather.
