Elizabeth Sisson Carter was the wife of Allyn H Carter and mother of Elma Louise Carter. Her parents were James ELdridge Sisson and Lucy Amanda Atkinson of Mer Rouge.

FUNERAL SERVICES HELD SAT. FOR MRS. BETTY SISSON CARTER
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Mer Rouge for Mrs. Betty Sisson Carter, aged 73, wife of Allyn H. Carter, who died at Mer Rouge last Friday night following a brief illness. Interment followed in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Mrs. Carter was well-known in Mer Rouge and throughout Morehouse Parish and her death came as a big surprise and shock to her many friends. She was a life long member of the Mer Rouge Methodist Church.

Mrs. Carter is survived by her husband:
Allyn H. Carter
One daughter:
Miss Elma Carter, who is librarian at Bastrop High School
Two sisters:
Mrs. Fannie Beatrice Sisson (Mrs. Marion Ashley) of Mer Rouge
Mrs. Mary Etta Sisson Lilly of Mer Rouge
