Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls. Military Rites will be conducted by Little Falls American Legion Post #46.
Arnold William Anderson was born Dec. 9, 1928, in Culdrum Township, Morrison County, to the late Arthur and Pauline (Nieman) Anderson. After graduating from Little Falls High School with the class of 1947, he went to work at Pine Grove Grocery Store. He then enlisted in the U.S. Airforce in October of 1950 and attended basic training in Texas and then went to Supply School at Lowry A.F.B. in Denver, Colo. His next assignment took him overseas to England where he was stationed at Brize Norton R.A.F. base for two years. Arnold then returned stateside to George A.F.B. in California until being discharged Dec. 8, 1953. He continued his military service with the Minnesota Army National Guard at Camp Ripley from March 1954 until retiring in February 1984 as a Sergeant First Class. Arnold enjoyed gardening and an interest in cars. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of Little Falls American Legion #46.
Arnold is survived by his brother Burton Anderson and his wife Mary of Little Falls; and sister-in-law Mary Anderson of Little Falls; eight nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Edwin.
