James L. Contrastano
James L. Contrastano, 75, of 131 Seymour St., Bristol, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Bristol Hospital. He was the husband of Regina (Colabella) Contrastano. James was born in Bristol on April 27, 1934, the son of the late Leonard and Santina (Mullieri) Contrastano. He was a lifelong Bristol resident, and worked for the City of Wolcott in the school system for over 20 years before he retired in1996. Beside his wife, he is survived by his sons, Peter Contrastano of Hendersonville, N.C. and Perry Contrastano of Plantsville; two daughters, Nancy and Emily Contrastano of West New York, N.J.; a brother, Fred and his wife, Lois Contrastano; and a sister, Dorothy Martino. He was predeceased by a sister, Angela Engel. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, March 25, 2010, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Anthony Church. Friends may call at the Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol, on Thursday, March 25, 2010, from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Bristol.
