Born July 12, 1931 in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Alva W. and Emma (Bowman) Kuhn. He lived his early life in the Chambersburg area.
Mr. Kuhn was a graduate of Washington Township High School with the Class of 1950.
He served in the United States Army from 1951-1954 during the Korean Conflict.
He and his wife of over 39 years, Mrs. Dorothy M. (Bricker) Kuhn, were married June 5, 1965 in Waynesboro. They had lived at their present residence since August 23, 1969.
Mr. Kuhn was employed at Mack Truck, Hagerstown, MD for 18 years. He later was employed at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, for 12 years. He retired in 1998.
Mr. Kuhn was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church, Waynesboro, where he served as Sunday school teacher, past Board member, drove the church bus, and was Royal Ranger Leader. He also was a member of the National AARP.
Mr. Kuhn also volunteered for Camp Joy-El, Greencastle, PA, as a cook.
He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed woodworking.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, April D. Noll of Waynesboro; one son, Anthony A. "Tony" Kuhn of Greencastle; three grandchildren; four sisters, K. Lucille Kuhn and Mary E. Wagaman, both of Waynesboro, Evea M. Westmoreland of Newville, PA, and Millicent Smith of Carlisle; one aunt, Nettie Grove of Chambersburg, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Helfin and Thelma Mullenix.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, September 10, 2004 in Calvary Assembly of God Church, 116 Snider Avenue, Waynesboro, PA, with Pastors Dwan N. Newsome and Walter A. Stuart officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, with military graveside honors conducted by the honor guard of Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post #1599, Chambersburg, PA.
