She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church; Waynesboro since the mid 1930's where she taught in the Primary Sunday School Classes for 25 years. She was also a member of Nightingale Sunday School Class, later the Adult Sunday School Class. She also served on the churches Administrative Board for 24 years and was presently an honorary member of the board. She served on the Altar Guild and was secretary for the membership and evangelism for 30 years. She was long time member of Wayne Heights Homemakers, member of Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary, volunteering 7 years in the gift shop and the National A.A.R.P. She was a past member of the former North Chapter #739 A.A.R.P. Mrs. Kolda enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening and working with flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Henry R. Kolda and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Genieve Frank, Ethel Fetterhoff, Alverta Kriner and five brothers: Rev. Nelson H., LeRoy, Wilbur Frank, Harold Frank, LeRoy Frank and Neibert Frank.
Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 29, 2007 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad Street, Waynesboro, with Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
