Thelma Lou Applegate, 87, died July 28, 1991 in Riverview Manor, Ozark, Mo. following a two year illness.
She was born in Douglas County ,near Ava, the daughter of Jim and Belle(Jenkins) Melton.She married Thonie Applegate, a homemaker and a member of the Mound Baptist Church.
They had spent a few years in the state of Washington before moving back to Douglas County.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Thonie,two sisters, Emma Rice of Missoula , Mont. and Gertrude Lawrence ,Ozark.
Services were in the Adam Funeral Home, Ozark with the Rev. Carl Thompson officiating. Burial in the Jenkins Cemetery in Douglas County.
