Mrs. Stanford died on Friday, December 29, 1989, at Farwell Convalescent Center. She was born on December 13, 1906, in Franklin, Kentucky. She moved to Clovis at two years of age. She had been a licensed practical nurse and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Maxine Marshall, Alamogordo; two sons, L. Truitt Stanford and Harvey Penn Stanford, both of Irving, Texas; one brother, Floyd Gibson, Roswell; nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
