CHATHAM - Mary Louise Blauvelt, 82, of Chatham passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born June 28, 1927, in Peoria, to Robert Winfield and Pauline Lorraine (Gallant) Ewing. She married Jack R. Blauvelt in Springfield in 1962; he preceded her in death in 2000.

Mrs. Blauvelt was a homemaker and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

She is survived by one son, Scott (wife, Teresa) Blauvelt of Cantrall; two daughters, Susan Blackburn (companion, Bruce Keller) of Chatham and Tammy Blauvelt of Chatham; and five grandchildren, Katrina, Trista, Dylan, Angela and Jenna.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 15, 2010, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home, with Pastor Ed Ingram officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Animal Protective League.
