David J. Moorhead, 22, of Springdale, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at his residence. He was born Sept. 23, 1987.
He was the loving brother of Wes (Angelica) Moorhead, of Erie, and Sarah (fiance, Rodney Conklin) Moorhead, of Conneaut Lake; grandson of Dave and Donna Moorhead, of Cheswick, and Mary Grosse, of Oakmont, and the late Rego Grosse; nephew of Eric (Carm) Grosse, of Lower Burrell, Nick Grosse, of Oakmont, Mary Jane Varrato, of Springdale, David Moorhead Jr., of Tarentum, and John (Sue) Moorhead, of Riverside, Ill. He is also survived by his father figure, Dean Mroz, of Verona. David worked as a journeyman for Lewis Tree Service, was a member of F & AM Lodge 548, where he was the master of ceremonies and a member of IBEW Local 1919 Union.
He received his line clearance for tree trimming and his journeyman certification after graduating from Springdale High School in 2006.
Dave enjoyed fly fishing, golf, snow skiing, football, friends, family and loved tree climbing.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME, Oakmont.
Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. David Carlisle officiating.
Interment will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery, Cheswick.
