Mr. Smith was dead on arrival at Madison hospital on Monday, after becoming ill at work at Seco Inc.
A native of Robertson County, he was a son of Herbert and Maude Hunter Smith.
He was a veteran of World War II. His wife, the former Lula Mae Goldsmith died in 1960.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Ann and Wanda Lee Smith; a son Billy Smith, Springfield; two brothers, Clarence and Clifton Smith of Sadlersville; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Hill, Cedar Hill and Mrs. Wylie Huddleston, Keysburg, KY.
Pallbearers were Wallace, James, G. W., Elvis and Oscar Smith of this county and Merrill Harrison of Nashville.
