OBITUARY - Lawrence S. Moore
Lawrence Sheridan Moore, 77, of 361 Hughes Ave., Clovis, died today in a Clovis hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Marshfield, MO., and had lived in Fresno County 53 years.
Moore, a retired farmer, was a member of the Eastside Christian Church in Fresno.
Surviving are his widow, Mattie; two sons, Edwin and David Moore; two stepsons, Edgar Lewis and Floyd Lewis, all of Clovis.; five daughters Mrs. Roxie Foster of Auberry, Mrs. Louise Hollenbeck of Broken Bow, Neb., Mrs. Lillian Shultz of Sanger, Mrs. Daisy Scarbrough of Clovis and Mrs. Clara Ayres of Milpitas, Santa Clara County; a step daughter, Mrs. Lela Pierce of San Jose; two brothers, Harvey Moore of Fresno and Jim Moore of Coarsegold, Madera County; three sisters, Mrs. Mioma Watters of San Leandro, Alameda County, Mrs. Florence Simonian of Clovis and Mrs. Rebecca Rhodes of Fresno; 20 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Boice Funeral Home in Clovis. Interment will be in the Clovis Cemetery.
