Richard R. Peace was born on June 28,
1928, in Napolean, Ky. to the late
Joseph and Edna Peace. Richard
died on Friday, February 19, 2010 at
his residence at the age of 81. He
was a former construction worker
and operator of Crystal Fishing
Lake in Warsaw, Ky. from 1971
through 1996. He was a member of
the Ten Mile Baptist Church in
Gallatin County, Ky. and a member
of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Peace enlised in the U S Army
on June 8, 1948. He was an
artillery man for six years and
fought in the Korean conflict.
Sgt. First Class Peace was honorably
discharged from the Armed Services
on May, 1942.
Mr. Peace was united in marriage
on June 28, 1982 and survived
by his loving wife, Janet Williams
Peace of Warsaw, Ky. In addition to
his wife, Mr. Peace is also
survived by two sons, Troy Peace
of Glencoe, Ky., Chris Harr of Delmar, MD,
one daughter, Michelle Brinker of
Hilton Head, SC, two brothers,
Jack Peace of Warsaw, Ky., Jim Peace
of Union, Ky.; one sister, Jeannie
Scott of Warsaw, Ky., five grandchildren
and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held on Monday,
February 22, 2010 at 3 PM at the
Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home
in Verona, Ky. Burial was in the
Napolean Cemetery.
