Jonathan "Dustin" Bancroft, 28, of Arroyo Grande, died suddenly an unexpectedly Thursday, June 18, 2009, in Pismo Beach. He was born in September 1980 in Simi Valley, Calif., to parents Jackie Bancroft and Steven Faber, and adopted by stepfather, Russell Bancroft. He attended Grace Brethren School in Simi Valley from pre-school to high school, 1983-1998 and then attended Moorpark Community College and Hancock Community College as an anthropology major. He worked for Cottage Inn by the Sea and found his dream job working on the Central Coast for Heritage Discovery performing archaeological digs. He attended New Beginnings Christian Fellowship in Simi Valley and Agape Christian Fellowship in San Luis Obispo.

Dustin is further survived by grandparents Reynolds and Faye Ritchie of Arroyo Grande; brothers Wesley, Luke, Matt and Greg; sister, Bethany; nephews, nieces, cousins and friends too numerous to count. A service will be held at noon, Thursday, June 25, 2009, at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, 2864 Sycamore Dr. in Simi Valley, Calif., (805) 522-3555. Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Park, 22601 Lassen St. in Chatsworth, CA 91311, (818) 341-0344.
