FRIEND-Elizabeth Lee was born in Ohio Co., Virginia, July 1st, 1810, and died Jan. 19,
1892.
In March, 1816, with her parents and family moved to the city of Columbus, Ohio, where she lived until the year 1849. In June removed to Tipton, Cedar County, Iowa, and in Oct.
1851, was married to Preston J. Friend, Rev. L.C. Woodford officiating. She was left a widow 24 years. Died at the home of her brother, Rev. Wm. Lee, at Clinton, aged 81 years, 6 months and 19 days. She united with the M.E. Church in her 12th year and remained a loyal member until her death, being 69 years, without a break in the connection. She rests in peace.
