We saw a little brown dog running wildly in an industrial center close to very busy highways and knew we had to catch her. My sister followed her and was able to grab her before she ran onto the highway. She was very friendly and comfortable in a car. We thought she could be a Maltese (but we knew Maltese were white). We cleaned her up, and lo and behold, she was white under all that brown. It looked like the poor baby had been on the loose for quite a while. We placed online found ads for her and although we got a lot of calls, we never found her correct owner who must have been so heartbroken. We called her Bella and looked for a good home for her. We guessed that she was between 8 to 10 years old. My daughter placed her in the most wonderful home a dog could have. My sister and I always talked about her because we grew so fond of her in the short time we had her. Bella went to a home with a loving family and they gave her the best care for four years until they discovered her the morning after she had gone over the Rainbow Bridge. Everyone who knew Bella immediately fell in love with her.
