Served in the Pacific campaign and involved in the Okinawa and Philippine invasions. Lived in Knoxville, Tn., Dallas, Tx. and Bristol, Tn. Passed away at the home of his brother, Hugh J. Smith in Sandusky, Oh. Died of lung cancer.
