Gary Conley, age 60, of Marion, passed away from a stroke on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

He was born on June 19, 1949 to Charles B. and Mable Conley. He was a 1969 graduate of Marion Harding High School. He was a member of the Marion Drum and Bugle Corps from 1965 to 1969. He was a long time employee of the Marion Dresser Co. when the plant shut down he returned to school at Marion Techinal College, became a registered nurse, and then retired from Marion General Home Health and Hospice as a home health nurse.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Witten) Conley; his mother, Mable Conley; two children, Aaron (Sherry) Conley and Amy Conley; sister, Elaine (Bret) Bowers; and grandchildren, Tanna Marie, Erin Lynn, Mitchell Eugene Conley and Alec Michael Lowry; three step-children, Amy Tim, and Kirt.

Gary enjoyed building and playing the drums, handcrafted leather and knife making. When he was younger he was a Harley Davidson enthusiast.

Note from Harley- I knew Gary while he worked at MedCenter Hospital in Marion, Ohio. He was an ICU nurse. Gary was very nice and comforting to all he met.
