Bonnie LeMoyne Mitchell, of Eureka, died on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, in Eureka, at the age of 78.

She was born on March 14, 1931, in Fall River, the daughter of Oscar and Stella (Edwards) Larcom. She was raised in Fall River and graduated from Fall River High School. On January 4, 1951, Bonnie was united in marriage to Gerald “Wayne” Mitchell in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. They made their home in Upper Fall River township.

Bonnie operated all the farming and ranching responsibilities while Wayne worked for the county. In 1969, the family moved to Eureka. Bonnie then worked as a housekeeper for the Greenwood County Hospital for 18 years. On September 6, 2007, Wayne preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons; one daughter; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 22, 2010, at Greenwood Cemetery, in Eureka, with Mr. Jayme A. Koup of Koup Family Funeral Home officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home at P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
