Mrs. Millard Armstrong
Mrs. Millard Armstrong, aged 71, of Milford died unexpectedly at her home Sunday afternoon, November 20.
She was born March 6, 1889, in Rouses Point, the daughter of Byron and Cora Fitch. She was married to Herbert Van Buskirk, August 17, 1918. he died March 29, 1950. She later was married to Millard Armstrong. She taught for many years in Milford and Hartwick.
She was a member of the WSCS of the Milford Methodist Church and the new York State Retired Teachers Association.
Surviving are her husband; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Roger Gray of Unadilla; two stepsons, Dr. Lynn Armstrong of Mount Morris and Charles Armstrong of Fairfield, Conn., and a sister, Mrs. Gladys Hills of Owego.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m on Wednesday, November 23 at the Tillapaugh Funeral Home, with the Rev. Phillip Pitcher, pastor of the Milford Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery.
