Theresa "Tess" Conroy, age 90, resident of Lakota, ND, died Thursday, June 28, 2007 at the Lakota Good Samaritan Center in Lakota, ND.

Theresa Blanche Regeimbal was born on her parents farm near Gentilly, MN, on February 25, 1917. She was the daughter of Louis J. and Valerie (Menard) Regeimbal. Tess was raised and educated in the area, graduating from Mount St. Benedict Academy in 1934. She then attended the College of St. Benedict at St. Joseph, MN. She then worked as a medical technologist at the Miller Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Tess married William D. Conroy on September 23, 1946 at Grand Forks. Since 1946 they made their home in Lakota, where Tess worked at the drug store. William died June 16, 1972. Tess continued living in Lakota, and was a member of the Church of St. Mary of the Assumption. She became a resident of the Good Samaritan Center on March 7, 2007.

Tess will be dearly missed by her daughter, Marilyn (Robert) Dinesen of Winterhaven, FL; a grandson, William John (Jan) Conroy of White Bear Lake, MN; 2 step grandchildren, Natalie (Mike) Gunn and Robert Dinesen II, both of Winterhaven, FL; 4 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Constance Conroy of Wyoming, MN; a sister-in-law, Mildred Regeimbal of Crookston, MN; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Gary Conroy; 7 brothers; and 8 sisters.
The Funeral Mass for Tess Conroy will be held at the Church of St. Mary, Lakota, ND, on Monday, July 2, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Scott Sautner. Music will be provided by the St. Mary Church Choir. Interment will be in the Lakota Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Bill Conroy, Jerome Dufault, Jim Burtness, Don Mootz, Steve Hensey, and Neil Dardis. Visitation will be held at the Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota on Sunday, July 1, 2007 beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the Church on Monday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
