'Squire J. F. Offenbackor, for thirty-seven years a justice of the peace of Marksville district, Page county, died at his home near Leaksville Sunday. His death was due to blood poisoning, arising from a slight wound on one of his finger?.

Only one time in forty years was 'Squire Offenbacker beaten while standing for election. He was a surveyor of the old school and in this capacity was instrumental in adjusting many legal controversies.

Mrs. Offenbacker died about three weeks ago. The 'Squire was about 74 years old, and leaves several children.
