Adam Lockner was the son of Johann Adam Lochner who immigrated from Rineck, Mosbach, Baden Germany with wife Maria Josepha Flicker on 17 Nov 1849 to New York. Adam was the youngest of 7 children. The three eldest were born in Baden and the rest in Rochester, Monroe, New York. He was a successful hardware store owner and distributer of the best wood stoves in Nebraska. Adam and wife Hermina Berger Lockner (born in Braunsiefen,"Ryžoviště", Mähren, Moravia, Austria on 23 July 1863 had 5 children all born in Nebraska.
