Elsie was the 2nd of seven children of Carl B & Mary A (Wagner) Fisk of rural Burr, NE. Her siblings were: Gertrude, Darrel, Darlene, Beverly, Raymond, and Carl Jr. who died as an infant. Elsie graduated from Burr High School and received her teaching certificate for Peru State Teachers College. She married Dale Mannschreck and they had three children. Gerald, MaryLou and Dala. Elsie had a massive stroke during heart surgery and spent the last of her days in a Nursing Home in Tecumseh, NE.
