Houston Lynwood Arehart, 89, of Newport News died Sunday (Oct. 27, 1985) at Chesapeake.
He was born March 27, 1905 in Augusta County, a son of Henry O. and Nora Bell (Hawpe) Arehart, and attended school in Middlebrook.
Surviving are two sons, Elmer of Hayes and Claud Arehart of Chesapeake; two sisters, Mary Lotts of Waynesboro and Catherine Croft of Staunton; two brothers, Oscar and Carey Arehart, both of Staunton; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
His wife, Maggie B. Michael, died in 1982.
A service will be held at 2:30 this afternoon in W.J. Smith & Son Funeral Home, Newport News, with burial in Peninsula Memorial Park.
