Mrs. May was a very faithful and creative children's teacher and youth
worker. For over forty years she ministered for the Lord by participating in youth and children's work both locally and in Germany while stationed there with her husband. A member of Woodfield Park Baptist Church, Mrs. May was always faithful to her church while her health allowed.
Her hobbies included spending time with her family, sewing, cooking, travel and gardening. She was most proud of her travel experiences and touring of Europe.
Was preceded in death by infant daughter, Patricia Etta Shelton, a son, Jerry Melvin Shelton of Lexington, and a brother Cleophus Haire of TN.
