Benjamin Franklin Bucher, he went by Frank since his fathers name was also Benjamin. One of 10 children the second youngest. Grew up a Mennonite in Whitehouse Ohio. In 1913 he moved to Detroit. Married Wealthy May Isham in Waterville on June 28th 1914 and they lived in Detroit about a year before moving back to the Isham farm in Waterville now 8460 Anthony Wayne Trail. Moved into Waterville at 123 Farnsworth in the 20s. Worked many jobs, farmed, owned a car dealership (Bucher Motor Sales) in Waterville till the depression put him out of business. Worked for the Ohio highway department as superintendent of division garage in Bowling Green in the 1930s until he founded Waterville machine shop in 1942 and did very well at it. He sold the business off in 1954 and tried to retire but grew bored of it all and went back to the Highway dept in 1958 as Superintendent of the highway garage at Walbridge until 1960 when he retired again. Lived at the Isham farm from about 1950 till 1967 then lived with his daughter Marjorie as his health declined and he began suffering from Dementia. He was hit by a car in August 1965 breaking both legs, in front of the farm on route 24 and survived but it made the dementia get much worse. Slowly declined in health and passed away as a result of Pneumonia in Bowling Green at the hospital.
