"Kenneth (Ken) S. Whitaker died Tuesday at the age of 69 years. He was born May 26, 1905 near Mud Bay, Olympia. A resident of Shelton for the past 30 years, Mr. Whitaker was a retired heavy equipment operator.
"He is survived by his wife, Hazel H. Whitaker of Shelton; two daughters, Mrs. Steve (Donna) Morris of Union and Mrs. Rollin (Myrna) Aitken of Shelton; two sons, Kenneth E. Whitaker of Sliema, Island of Malta, and Gerald K. Whitaker of Gig Harbor; two sister, Mrs. Frank (Iyone) Brumm and Mrs. Jayne Freeburn, both of Bremerton; one brother, Jim Whitaker of Saudi Arabia; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
