Kathy M. Coen, 44, of Anderson, passed away at Community Hospital after a sudden illness.
She was born July 20, 1965, in Anderson, and was a lifelong Anderson resident.
She graduated in 1983 from Anderson High School and worked at the cafeteria at Anderson Elementary School.
Kathy's special interests included the children at her school, watching drag racing, being a Mark Martin fan and being the champion of the 2009 Family Euchre Fest. Above all else, she was a loving wife and mother to her husband and children.
She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Patrick Coen of Anderson; children, Kayla Coen and Austin Coen, both of Anderson; father, Jim Mills of Anderson; sister, Amber (husband, Jay) Parker of Anderson; brother, Rodney Mills of Florida; three nieces, Brianna Mills, Madison Parker and Gracie Parker; and close friends, Deanna, Rhonda and Gwen.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Mills.
