Gladys was born January 25, 1922 to Joseph and Elizabeth Butler.
She was raised in a family of seven brothers and sisters. She was raised on a farm and learned her gardening skills at an early age. She loved and worked with dedication in her gardens, and often had people stop to express how beautiful they were. She is preceded in death by her parents, all her brothers and sisters, and her husband, Arnold.
Gladys and Arnold Arnesen were married and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple, and were together for almost sixty-four years. Together they raised three sons and a daughter. She lived in Bountiful, Utah for almost fifty-five years. As our family grew and new family members were added, she made it a point to love all that entered the family home.
Those of us left behind to carry her legacy of love and beauty include her children: Eric (Donna), Marsha, Roger, and Craig (Stephine), ten grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. She loved all her family and loved the days that we were all together.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bountiful Twenty-Eighth Ward Chapel, 2285 South 200 West.
She will join our father in the Bountiful Memorial Park Cemetery.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, and also one hour before the services at the Church from 9:45-10:45 a.m.
