Vivian Jensen Childs, 74, died June 2, 1993 in Gunnison.

She was born June 23, 1918 in Sterling, to Joseph Hyrum and Myrtle Dennison Jensen. She married James Rodney Childs on April 1, 1937 in Sterling; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple February 21, 1945. He preceded her in death May 13, 1986. She held many church positions in the Relief Society and Primary.She is survived by two sons and three daughters, Lee Rodney, Bountiful; Vanile James, Sandy; Mrs. Ace (Phylis) Allred, Layton; Mrs. Evan (RaNae) Hansen, Price; Mrs. Alvin (LaRue) Billings, So. Jordan; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, James Nels Jensen of Magna. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers and two grandsons.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 7, 1993, at 11 a.m., in the Centerfield LDS Church. Friends may call at the church Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Interment in the Centerfield Cemetery under the direction of the Warren R. Jensen Funeral Home.
