Dorothy Hatfield, 74, passed away March 7, 2008, in a Mineral Wells nursing home.

Service was 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial followed in Woodland Park Cemetery.

She was born Nov. 30, 1933, in Corsicana, Texas, to Elisha and Vinnie Murphy Saunders and had lived in Mineral Wells for over 50 years. She was a member of the Well of Life Church. She married Billy Joe Hatfield in 1955 in Grand Prairie, Texas, and he preceded her in death on March 5, 1997.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Melvin Glen and Mary Carol Baldree, Larry Hatfield, all of Mineral Wells; daughters and son-in-law, Glenda Fay and Darwin Glover of Eastland, Texas, and Cleta Ann Berkley of Mineral Wells; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Clark of Dallas.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
