Kathy Jane Fulford Boren, 60, of Dothan, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at a local hospital.
Funeral services are 10 am Monday July 22, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Judy Dyson and Rev. Shirley Hatcher officiating. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends 9 to 10 am prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Boren was born and reared in Midland City, daughter of the late Samuel Lee Fulford and Mollie Frances Messick Fulford. She lived in Dothan for the past forty-five years and was a member of the Shady Grove Holiness Church in Pansey. Mrs. Boren was retired, due to disability, from Wesley Manor Retirement Center in Dothan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forest Leslie Boren, and five brothers, Ronnie Joe Fulford, Calvin Allen Fulford, Arthur Lee Fulford, Randy Fulford, and Ronnie Wayne Fulford.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Cassandra Ann Powell, and Angela Denise Swearengin (Phillip), all of Dothan; a son, William Leslie Boren (Kelly), Malvern; three sisters, Patsy Swearengin (Ronnie), Dothan; Darlene George (Charles) of Pennsylvania; and Kathy Terry of Samson; a brother, Roger Fulford (Connie) of Dothan; eight grandchildren, Heather Forrester (Eric Windham), Jonathan Forrester (Mallory Danford), Tiffany Brunson, Elizabeth "Pooh" Wilson, William Boren, Jr., Emily Boren, Brittany McDonald, and Justin "Turtle" Swearengin; three great-grandchildren, Austin and Preston Alridge, and Kaitlyn Grace Brown; numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Pebbles Fulford, Skeet Fulford, Sam Fulford, Jonathan Forrester, Jr. Boren, and Eric Windham.
