Kitty Heine, 66, beloved wife, sister, and Nanny, went to be with the Lord on September 12, 2009. Kitty was born on September 2, 1943 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late George C. and Lillian E. Clark Westbrook. She was married for 48 years to Roy L. Heine, Jr.

Kitty was a life long member of the Church of Christ. She was a 1961 graduate of Paxon Senior High School in Jacksonville, Florida, a champion barrel racer, and Past Worthy Matron of Leander Chapter #73, Order of the Eastern Star. She worked alongside her husband for many years driving haul trucks and held a CDL license. Most recently, she was employed for many years as a dispatcher, then Communications Supervisor and Administrative Assistant to the then Sheriff, Robert De La Garza, of the Goliad County Sheriffs Office.

Kitty is survived by her husband, Roy L. Heine, Jr.; her son, Russell Heine, of Aruba, her daughter, Jenelle Kunkel, of Canada; sisters, Julie Keith, of Goliad, Diann Westbrook, of Katy, and her brother, Gilbert Westbrook and wife Judy, of New Braunfels.

Grandchildren include Paul and Calvin Kunkel, of Goliad, Airman First Class, Kathaleen Kunkel, currently stationed in Dover, Delaware, Jessica Bannan and husband Mike, and Clyde Carmody, all of California, Rachel Wagner and husband Chad, of Colorado, and Jerod Heine, of Austin.

She also is survived by 5 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Delyn, and CheyAnne Bannan and Kiley and Nathan Wagner.

Nephews include Michael Westbrook and wife Dianna, and James Westbrook, of New Braunfels, Charlie Blissit, Jr. and wife Charity, of Edna, and Michael Baptist and wife Lisa, of Reno, NV, James Moon and James Keith of Miami, FL.

Nieces include Jennifer and Stephanie Westbrook. of New Braunfels, Charlynn Martin, of Katy, and Debra O'Brian and husband Glenn, of Houston.

The body will lie in state beginning at 5:00 p.m., with family receiving visitors from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15 at the Colonial Funeral Home in Goliad, Texas.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, at the Colonial Funeral Home. Frank Berthold, minister of the Church of Christ in San Angelo as well as Kitty's cousin, will officiate. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Gardens in Corpus Christi.

Pallbearers are Gilbert Westbrook, Michael Westbrook, Michael Baptist, Preston Haynes, Robert DeLa Garza, Don Prince, Jack Farquhar, and Norman Renfro.
