Carlene Jo Pacini-Aslett passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 54. She was born to Carl and Glenna Pacini. Carlene attended Elko schools, graduating from Elko High School in June of 1973. She worked at the local Arby's restaurant after her graduation. She married Jerry Aslett on May 27, 1989. She was a homemaker, enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and her computer. Carlene was an avid supporter of Nascar and was one of Jeff Gordon's best fans. She was devoted to her cats and her present pet, Samantha, will greatly miss her. Carlene was a friend to all and was very proud of her nieces and nephews and their children. She will be best remembered for her kind heart and always seeing the good in people and situations. She could light up a room with her smile and had an infectious laugh.
Carlene was preceded in death by her mother Glenna Pacini, uncles Murle & Morris Monk and John Carson. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Aslett of Spring Creek; father Carl Pacini of Elko; father and mother-in-law, Wendell & Ella Aslett of Spring Creek; step-son, Jared Warr of Illinois; sister, Karen Dredge (Jim) of Spring Creek; brother, Frank Pacini (Chris) of Spring Creek; brother-in-laws, Robert Aslett (Debbie) of Spring Creek and Lyne (Janet) of Virginia. She is also survived by her ten nieces and nephews and her very special fourteen great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers it is suggested that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the local Animal Relief Foundation.
