She was born on December 21, 1950, in Lawrence County, the daughter of Albert King and Anna Mae (Terrell) King.
She was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Shanna Oliver (Nathan); son, Kevin Duke (Amy) both of Bloomington; two stepdaughters, Alisica Hubbard (Duane) of Bloomington, Amanda Maclin (Taris) of Carmel; father, Albert King (Huguette); mother, Anna King; brother-in-law, Rodney Anderson (Nancy); mother-in-law, Adaline Anderson; six grandchildren, Brant Duke, Larissa Duke, Stanley Oliver, Reese Oliver, Sydney Wimberly and Zeke Maclin; and three nieces, Gabrielle Johnson, Angela Wampler and Windy Howard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Pete" Anderson, maternal grandmother Gladys Terrell and paternal grandparents Albert King Sr. and Myrtle King.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2010, at Allen Funeral Home with Pastor Brent Cramer officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Thursday and from 12-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
