John Scholl died at 12:30 p. m. yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Gross, No. 543 North Fifth st., from the infirmities due to old age, aged 88 years, 2 months and 19 days. Deceased was a native of Hesse Darmstadt, Germany and came to this country when 21 years of age. The following children survive: Mrs. John Birkenstock, Sr., Mrs. Henry Gross, Mrs. Peter Bondthalt, of Philadelphia, Mrs. Charles Andillet, of Philadelphia. The funeral services will be held on Friday evening at the residence of his son-in-law, Harry Gross, No. 543 North Fifth street, at 7.15 o'clock. Rev. G. F. Gardner will officiate. The funeral cortege will proceed to the Lehigh Valley depot on Saturday morning to take the 8.25 a. m. train for Philadelphia, where interment will be made.
