Mrs. Rose McGuyer, age 85 of Crockett, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in the East Texas Medical Center-Crockett. Mrs. McGuyer was born August 11, 1924 in Louisiana and had been living in Crockett since 1987. Mrs. McGuyer was retired having worked as a floral designer and was a member of the San Pedro Church.

Survivors include her children Tony Liotta and wife Margaret, of Grapeland, Rose West and husband Bill, of Conroe, Vernon McGuyer and wife Michelle, of Corsicana and Billy Fred McGuyer, of Streetman; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters Josie Corona, of Baton Rouge, La. and Mary Balinski, of Las Vegas, Nev.; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Preceded in death by her husband W. H. "Mack" McGuyer; son Reed Vincent Liotta; grandson Reed Vincent Liotta, Jr.; and nine siblings. Funeral Services for Mrs. Rose McGuyer were held Friday, January 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Hutto officiating. Interment will follow in the North Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the San Pedro Church Building Fund, 10733 F. M. 2022 North, Grapeland, Texas 75844.
