Mrs. Elizabeth K. Paavola, 89, Gheen, died Monday in the Cook Community Hospital Convalescent and Nursing Care Unit, where she had resided for the past seven years.
She was born June 7, 1884, in Houghton, Michigan, and resided in Mountain Iron and Chisholm. In 1910 she moved to Gheen.
Mrs. Paavola had 6 sons, 5 daughters, 40 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren at the time of her death. Her husband, Victor preceded her in death on May 15, 1960, and a son, George in 1958.
