Expires While Being Examined by Doctor
BELLEFONTE, Jan 23.--Mrs. Jane Watson First [sic] Curtin, wife of John Curtin of 127 West Linn street, died suddenly Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the office of Dr. Saylor J. McGee in Lock Haven. After entering the office she was stricken with angina pectoris while undergoing an examination for a troat affection and died almost immeidately. Mrs. Curtin had been suffering with a throat condition for about two weeks and on the advice of her physician went to Lock Haven to consult Dr. McGee. Mrs. Curtin was accompanied to Lock Haen by her husband, brother and sister-in-law, ex-Judge and Mrs. James C. Furst.
Mrs. Curtin was the daughter of Judge A. O. Furst and Caroline Chamberlin Furst and was born and lived her entire life in the Furst home on Linn street. She received her education at the Bellefonte academy and Miss Shipley's school at Bryn Mawr. She was a member of the Bellefonte Presbyterian church and the Bellefonte Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her mother, her husband and the following children: John Curtin, Jr., Bobby and Jane, at home, William, a student at Pennsylvania State college, and Caroline, a student at Miss Hick's School of Physical Education, Washington, D.C. She is also survived by three brothers, James C. Furst of Bellefonte and Walter B., and John Furst of Philadelphia.
Funeral services were conducted at the home this afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. William C. Thompson officiating. Interment was made in the Union cemetery.
