So far, my research has found that Matthew was born in Kentucky. He was a farmer and lived and died in the Trimble County Kentucky area near Providence. He is burried in the Louden burial grounds which is near Providence on part of the Louden farm property. He married Elizabeth A Brent in Jan 1839 and had 6 children. Although his grave marker is Mccollister, he is also known as Matthew A. McCallister. He owned his own farm and was a successful farmer. There is a Masonic symbol on his gravestone, but I have not looked into this myself.
