William Clay "Bill" Mitchell, 77, of Cassidy Creek, Carlisle, passed this life April 13, 2007 at the Mathers-Johnson Nursing Home in Carlisle. Bill was born in Fleming County, Feb. 18, 1930 to Wallace "Doc" Mitchell and Victoria McCarty Jolly. Bill is survived by his wife, Geneva Jolly Mitchell and one daughter, Connie (Donnie) Richardson. Two grandsons Eliot (Lisa) Earlywine of Flemingsburg and Rodney (Christy) Earlywine of Ewing. One grand daughter, Dee Earlywine. Five step-sons Donald, Wallace, Jimmy, Junior and Ronald Jolly. Eight great grandchildren, Austin, Zachory, Katie, Tisha, Lillian, Shelby, Raven and Mary Jane. Bill is also survived by two sisters, Nellie Ellison and Elizabeth Jolly of Ewinng, and 2 brothers Jay Mitchell of Moorefield and Eddie Jolly of Flemingsburg, 4 step-brothers Marion Jolly, Ronald Jolly, J.C. Jolly, Ervin Jolly. Preceding Bill in death is his first wife, Clarene Price Mitchell, and infant daughter Phyllis Mitchell. Also five brothers, Richard McCarty, Floyd Mitchell, Theodore Mitchell, Elmer Mitchell, and Tony Mitchell. Also five sisters, Edney, Callie, Ruthie, Irene and Ethel. One step-brother also preceded, Wayne Jolly. Funeral services were at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 17 at Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Rev. Jerry Boling and Rev. James Gaunce officiating. Burial in the Elizaville Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 to 9:00 PM Monday at Price Bros.
