Alta M. Claunch, 83, passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010.
Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Chapel.
Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Mrs. Claunch will lie in state all day Tuesday.
Alta M. Claunch was born May 14, 1926, in Brownwood to Alton and Jenevier Hillman. Alta loved quilting and enjoyed participation with her quilting guild. She very much enjoyed donating her quilts to charitable organizations. Alta also was deeply involved in a cancer survivors focus group. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Claunch, and brother, Billy Clements.
Survivors: Son, Michael Claunch of Dublin; sisters, Annie Bell Bennett of Van and Shirley Landau of Terrell; numerous other relatives and friends.
